High hockey IQ, playmaking, and passing abilities give Barratt a chance to become a top-six NHL forward. He needs to improve his skating, or his ceiling could be a bottom-six depth forward at the NHL level.
A tough, physical large framed depth defenseman whose offensive game is a work in progress—will take some time to develop to be considered for an NHL roster spot.
