About Ben Gehrels

Ben Gehrels writes about emerging prospects in The Journey at Dobber Hockey and covers the Florida Panthers prospect system for Dobber Prospects. Ironically, he’s been a Colorado Avalanche fan since 1995 when they beat the Panthers for their first Cup. He fell in love with the sport as a kid growing up in Thunder Bay playing hockey on the ice, the street, and in hallways with mini sticks. At seven, he went along to his dad’s office pool draft and has been hooked on fantasy hockey ever since. Now he is a teacher in rural BC who loves picking morels, playing Mario Kart, and scheming about how to get an edge in his dynasty pools. Follow him @beegare on Twitter for prospect observations and fantasy insights.
