Observations:
September 2015 – Ross will try and make some noise this season in the DEL with Iserlohn. With so many young and offensively gifted forwards in the Oilers system, Ross will have to carve his way into the NHL as a high-energy, physical grinder. In three games thus far with the Roosters, he has no points and six penalty minutes. If he can impress in Germany this season it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in North America challenging for a spot on Bakersfield. Tyler Thomson
June 2015 – Brad Ross has had a trying season that featured being suspened as part of the substance abuse program. The Leafs were unlikely to resign him, instead they have delt him to the Oilers where he will stay in the AHL as a depth guy. Jason Banks
February 2015 – Ross has been stuck in a role player sinkhole in the AHL for three seasons now and shows few signs of breaking out. He has very good drive, is a responsible forward and a decent skill set, but he lacks an ‘X’ factor that give his coaches faith in trying to utilize him as a scoring line winger when we though he would be seen as a complimentary piece. Instead Ross struggles to crack the lineup regularly and is lost in a glut of lower line forwards. His offensive rate is improving but will likely need an organization change or a major opportunity to present itself for him to take a bigger step forward. Jason Banks
April 2013 – Since the lockout ended, Ross has found himself in a regular role in the Marlies’ lineup as an energy player. His is playing well and creates opportunities off of his tenascious fore checking. He is also showing a knack for scoring hardworking, garbage goals that win games. In Ross’ last 14 games be has eight points and 34 shots on goal. He is even earning secondary power play time and chipping in. He needs more development time and add more meat to his frame in the off season, but his development is trending upwards. Jason Banks
December 2012 – Ross has provided good energy and hard work in only five games so far this season. If the lockout never happened, one would expect to see his hard work pay off with being a regular in the lineup and some production. Jason Banks
February 2012 – Brad Ross is a solid, agitating forward that has shown he can put the puck in the net. Ross has been cut by Team Canada twice, but just getting invited to World Junior Camp is an accolade in itself. Playing on the strong Portland Winterhawks team, Ross has been chugging along at well over a point-per-game this year. Ross has 69 points in 55 games. If not for a few lengthy suspensions, Ross would have even more points. If he can stay on the ice, look for him to be a big part of the Winterhawks playoff push. Zenon Herasymiuk
Struggled to find his way in minor pro, but has some peripheral upside. Complimentary, hardworking minute eater. Penalty minutes would be his calling card in fantasy.
