Observations:

 

April 2013 – Archambault will join the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs for the final few games of the regular season. He will not see any playoff action because the team is in last place in the Western Conference. His arrival in Hamilton follows a career year in the QMJHL with 66 points in 64 games for Drummondville. Eric Daoust

February 2013 – Archambault is on his way to having his best season in the QMJHL. His 23 goals are already a personal best while his 50 points are just three shy of the 53 he posted in 2010-11. His slim chances of making it in the NHL may have improved a bit.

 

November, 2012- Olivier Archambault’s production continues to tread water as he currently has 15 points in 18 games (0.83 points per game) in 2012-13. His scoring ratio the last two seasons was roughly the same as it is this year. The lack of improvement is concerning. Eric Daoust

 

July, 2012 – Olivier Archambault is an undersized forward that possesses good quickness, hands and hockey sense.  At the end of his draft year of 2011, things looked promising as he produced 53 points in 65 games for Val d’Or of the QMJHL.  Unfortunately, he took a step back in 2011-12 with just 39 points in 45 games with Drummondville.  The offensive side of the game is his bread and butter, so he will need to start distinguishing himself more going forward.  Archambault will play next season in Drummondville, and then he may turn pro.

 

 

Fantasy Outlook: C

 

Intriguing upside, but is several years away from getting a serious look in the NHL.
