Nikita Novikov
A steady, quiet two-way defender. Plays a cautious defensive game with few offensive assertions. Sometimes is slow to react to developing plays.
Semyon Vyazovoy
A good sized goalie who has had success at the lower Russian levels. Will need to translate that success to the KHL level to be viewed as a potential fantasy asset.
Mikhail Gulyayev
Undersized but dynamic puck moving defenseman who defends well despite his physical limitations. Could grow into a serviceable top-four defender but needs a tryout on special teams.
Ilya Nabokov
A positionally-sound and controlled netminder who put up excellent results in a full-time KHL role at 20 years of age.
Kirill Dolzhenkov
A massive winger with questionable decision-making and defensive play, he needs to learn how to utilize his size correctly. Has a great shot and solid offensive instincts.
Prokhor Poltapov
Energetic forward who plays at a high pace. Has enough skill to grow into an effective middle-six NHL forward.
Vladimir Grudinin
Undersized offensive defenseman with great mobility and puck skills. Needs to continue to mature physically but has the skill to reach the NHL.
Maxim Berezkin
A power forward with strong goal scoring abilities. His skating will need to improve if he hopes to be a middle-six winger in the NHL in the future
Alexander Rykov
A strong defensive winger who flashes some impressive playmaking skill and passing plays, his offense could take off if he improves his evasiveness and handling, and if he varies his on and off-puck routes to play a less linear game.
Sergei Ivanov
Diminutive but quick and athletic Russian goalie. His quickness and agility makes up for his short stature, and early results in the KHL look fantastic. Time will tell if he makes the jump to North America.
