A mobile right-shot defender who brings size and some offensive touch. Projects as a bottom-pairing NHL defender.
Vincent Iorio
An effective and intelligent two-way defender who should see his stock rise when the WHL gets going. His patience and poise make him a very good prospect in the modern game.
Quinn Schmiemann
Two-way defenseman with above average puck moving ability, Schmiemann is a good passer and defender and may be able to carve out a role as a depth NHL defenseman.
Maxence Guénette
Late-round pick who has seemed to have been worth the flyer to this point. A steady defender who doesn't have a true standout skill.
Lassi Thomson
Offensive right-handed shot defenseman with top-four upside. Very good skater with excellent compete level. Has a great shot from the blue line. Needs to work on his defensive game.
Jacob Bernard-Docker
A solid top-four defenseman with power play responsibilities.
Chandler Romeo
He’s a tall, lanky kid that skates well for his size, but his offensive ceiling will be capped fairly low. He could be a bottom-pairing defensive defenseman.
Brandt Clarke
A dynamic offensive defender who could have the highest ceiling of any player in the 2021 draft class. He has good size but needs to fill out his frame and his skating is elite. A potential number one defenseman in the future.
