Physical defenseman fit for a bottom pairing and 2nd powerplay unit
A big, physically aggressive defenseman who doesn't produce much offensively. He needs to work on his positioning; his aggression leads to being out of position. He's off the fantasy radar, but in deep leagues that value hits, he could be worth an add as he develops throughout his career.
Shutdown defenseman who moves well for a big man. Will not be relied upon for his offense—projects to be a third-pairing defenseman specializing in putting up hits and blocked shots.
An average-sized defenseman who can create offence with an above-average shot and pro-ready one-timer. Has NHL skill and mobility but lacks hockey sense. Needs to develop on both sides of the puck; the offence is ahead of the defence. Has the potential to make an impact in all three zones and the upside to become a number three puck-moving defenseman.
A well balanced defenseman. Good puck mover that can shoot the puck well and plays smart defensively.
A big, mobile defensive defenseman.
Mature and well-rounded defender who processes the game at a high level. More substance than flash but projects as a reliable top-four NHL defenseman.
NHL sized two-way defenseman.
A towering defensive defenseman with minimal offense.
Smart, two-way defenseman who projects to become possibly a top-pairing blueliner. Great puck-mover, good skater and has an excellent shot.
