Observations:
January 2013 – Brunner has scored three points in his five NHL games with 22 shots. (Second only to Henrik Zetterberg’s 23) He looks like he will be another great find by Detroit and he won’t have prospect status beyond this season. Hopefully you acquired him before the rest of your league took note of him. Jason Banks
July 2012 – As expected, the Wings signed Brunner. The contract is only for one season, so Brunner will need to show he belongs in the NHL very quickly. High risk player to draft, but may be worth a late round flyer. Jason Banks
June, 2012 – Damien Brunner has been a star in Swiss NLA for a few years now. He won the scoring title of the league in 2012 with a wide margin scoring 60 points in 45 games and is rumoured to have signed as a free agent to Detroit Red Wings. Brunner is a slick allround forward with very good skating. He has good shot as well as good playmaking skills and also plays quite gritty game. Brunner has been of the best Swiss forwards in the World Championships last three years and will have a shot to be a top 9 forward in the Red Wings in 2012/13.
Can contribute offensively immediately in the NHL.
