Oskar Jellvik

December 2025  – Jellvik’s fourth year at Boston College has begun with another frustrating setback. After missing most of last season, he was injured just three games into this one, abruptly cutting short what was shaping up to be a pivotal year. With several top players departing from the previous roster, this was a significant opportunity for Jellvik to establish himself. Still, he managed just one assist in those three games before being sidelined again.

At this point, Jellvik is targeting a return in January. The expectation is that he will sign with either the Boston Bruins or their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, once the season concludes, assuming his health cooperates. It is an unfortunate turn for a player who broke out during his sophomore campaign but has struggled to stay on the ice ever since.

When healthy, Jellvik’s skill set is easy to appreciate. He boasts excellent vision and high-end playmaking ability, paired with strong, agile skating that allows him to move efficiently in all three zones. He is creative with the puck, owns solid hands, and can stickhandle in tight spaces. Physical play remains a weakness, which could be exposed at higher levels of competition, and his recurring injuries only add to the concern. Still, his offensive instincts suggest there is a role for him at the professional level.

From a fantasy perspective, Jellvik is best left alone for now. Until his health stabilizes and his NHL outlook becomes clearer, the risk outweighs the potential reward. Kenny Kaminsky
