Observations:

July 2013- Back in 2011 Bell was almost a lock to go somewhere in the first two rounds of the draft. But then came the accident that tragically killed another person and derailed his career. Bell has worked hard to revive his career and move on from that terrible incident. Bell has converted to playing left wing and has acquitted himself quite well in that role finishing the season with 93 points for Kelowna and an eye-popping plus-46. He brings an interesting versatility to the Devils, being able to play both left wing and defense, both spots that New Jersey can use help at in the future. It does appear though that the Devils are looking at him as primarily a left wing. In addition his potent offensive game he brings it physically and isn’t shy about dropping the gloves. – Rex Doty
