Observations:

June 2013 – Trunev finished the 2012-13 season with eight points in 41 games, which is about on par with his 10 points in 49 games from a year ago. He has not shown any signs of coming to North America and has not distinguished himself enough at the KHL level to warrant a look in fantasy leagues.

 

July 2012 – Maxim Trunev is a project winger who has played 150 games in the KHL over the last four years. Trunev has done well in the Russia’s junior league, the MHL, scoring 13 goals and adding 18 assists in 23 games over the last two seasons, however his production against men has been lackluster, as he has only been able to produce 26 points in his 150 games in the KHL. Trunev signed on with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl for the 12/13 season.

 

Fantasy Outlook: D-

Trunev has not produced well in the KHL and it has been four years since he has been drafted by Montreal. Barely on the radar at this point. A long term project.
