Observations:

January 2015 – Once a big time junior scorer, Michael St. Croix is currently playing in the ECHL during his second professional season. He has had some minor injuries during the fall which has kept him out of the lineup several times. In 28 games, St. Croix has scored five goals and 21 points for the Greenville Road Warriors. He is only 21-years-old and has excellent offensive instincts.St. Croix has time to prove himself as a valuable prospect but needs to take a step forward in his development.Jozsef Kurtosi

February 2014 – After dominating the WHL, Michael St. Croix started his professional career last fall. Better suited for an top 6 role, Rangers sent him down to the ECHL in October. Since December St. Croix is one his team’s top scorer, scoring 11 goals and assisting on another 23 in 27 games. Creative with good vision. St. Croix is a smart offensive-minded player who has improved a lot since start of the season, but still needs lot of work.He needs time to physically develop, improve his decision making, and also has skating issues. He is prototypical boom or bust prospect. Jozsef Kurtosi

April 2013 – St. Croix continues to prove himself as a capable scorer netting 10 goals and 12 assists in 16 playoff games, including two goals in a decisive game seven to send the Edmonton Oil Kings to the WHL Finals. Brendan Collins

March 2013 – For the first time this season, Michael St. Croix was named WHL Player of the Week (ending March 3rd) after registering two goals and seven assists for nine points in a trio of weekly wins for the Edmonton Oil Kings. Brendan Ross

February 2013 – St. Croix is again a major contributor for one of the best WHL teams in Edmonton. Through 58 games he has 68 points. He will certainly have to prove his numbers come playoff time when he will targeted by other teams. It is unlikely he will spend another year in junior, so expect him to bring his skillful game to the AHL next year.. Zenon Herasymiuk

May 2012 – St. Croix was a major contributor for the Oil Kings, putting up 19 points in 20 playoffs games, leading the team to its first WHL Championship. Unfortunately St. Croix was unable to maintain that success in the Memorial Cup, being held to only one point, as Edmonton was the first team eliminated. St. Croix will most likely be back in the WHL next season where he will lead the Oil Kings once again.

February 2012 – Although St. Croix is often slammed for his soft play and for playing on the perimeter too much; he has put up amazing numbers for the Eastern Conference leading Edmonton Oil Kings. In 59 games this year he has 37 goals and 54 assists for 91 points. St. Croix has a rare scoring touch and elite hockey sense. His stats might be a bit inflated playing on a stacked team, but scouts may be kicking themselves for letting St. Croix and his unique skill set fall to the fourth round.

Fantasy Outlook: C-

St. Croix’s pure skill may hide some of his flaws at the junior level, but he will need to become a more complete player to make the jump.
