March 2018- While he won't get mentioned in any Calder Trophy talk, Fischer is putting together a solid rookie campaign. He's currently tied for fourth-most points on the Coyotes with 30 along with his 13 goals good for third on the roster. All this while averaging a modest 14:44 of playing time, one of the lowest on the team. With more playing time we should see the budding power forward bump his production up even more. Don't sit on Fischer, he'll never be a top scorer like Keller but he's a solid winger who will put up many 20 goal season's in his future. Keith Duggan

October 2017- As expected Fischer made the Coyotes opening night roster, where he scored his first career power-play goal. He's played mostly bottom six minutes but has averaged about two minutes per game on the power play for the Coyotes so far in the young season. Keith Duggan

May 2017- It was a fantastic first pro season for Fischer. The 19-year-old was one of the best rookies in the AHL, putting up 20 goals and 47 points in 57 games, leading Tucson in goals and second in points. His 20 goals and 27 assists also ranked him eighth among rookies in both categories in the AHL. Even more impressive Fischer scored on his first three shots in the NHL among two different call-ups. While the power forward could have spent the season with Arizona, they wanted him playing top six minutes in the AHL instead of bottom line minutes in the NHL. With a bright future in the desert, Fischer adds to that impressive crop of young players on the cusp of making the Coyotes a competitive team again. Keith Duggan

January 2017- After being on a torrid pace in Tucson and just days after being named to the AHL All-Star Game, Fischer has been recalled to the Arizona Coyotes, and he didn't disappoint. He scored his first NHL goal on his first NHL shot off a pretty passing play from Alex Burmistrov and Jamie McGinn while Fischer waited at the right post late in the second period. He set the tone for how he was going to play right before his game-winning goal when he was tripped in the neutral zone and then crashed hard into the net. With Fischer's strong play in his first game and the Coyotes struggles to score this season expect the young winger to receive a long look with the big club. Keith Duggan

January 2017- Fischer has been named AHL Player of the Week for Jan. 9-15 after tallying three goals and four assists in three games. He helped the Tucson Roadrunners go 3-0-0. Fischer is currently second among AHL rookies in goals (15) and third in points (31). Keith Duggan

January 2017- After a slow adjustment period to the AHL for Christian Fischer, his game has really picked up as of late. He recently has a seven-game point streak and has 19 points (10 goals) in his last 12 games. Overall, he is third in points on the Tucson Roadrunners with 13 goals and 26 points in 27 games. While not sending Fischer back to the OHL or to play for the US at the World Junior Championship did raise some eyebrows, he's proving that the Coyotes made the right choice. And with Arizona struggling to score lately, Fischer could find himself up with the big club soon. Keith Duggan

October 2016- With a solid camp behind him, the Coyotes had a tough choice with Fischer but ultimately decided to send the 19-year-old to Tucson of the AHL with one of the team's final cuts. Returning to junior appeared as an intriguing idea since Fischer's former team, Windsor, recieves an automatic invite to the Memorial Cup as the host and he would have most likely finished as one of the leagues top scorers. Going back to the OHL is still an option but the Coyotes thought Tucson was the best fit currently for Fischer with Arizona coach Dave Tippett mentioning that's also where Fischer wanted to be. 'His skill set, his skating, he'll continue to develop those," said Tippett. "But very mature in the way he plays the game and thinks the game. He'll be a depth player for us this year. I'd be surprised if he didn't get games with us this year." Keith Duggan

April 2016- With a strong season behind him in the OHL, Christian Fischer will report to Springfield of the AHL after his Windsor Spitfires were knocked out of the playoff's by Kitchener. He recorded 40-50-90 in 66 games with Windsor, ranking first on the team in goals and points. Fischer also finished tenth in the OHL in goals and points. Keith Duggan

February 2016- Christian Fischer is in the midst of an outstanding 2015-16 season. He is currently 10th in OHL scoring with 33 goals and 79 points in 58 games. Fischer gives the Coyotes another excellent prospect, one of four Yotes draft picks in the OHL top fifteen scoring (Dvorak, Strome, MacInnis). Keith Duggan

August 2015- The Arizona Coyotes have signed Christian Fischer, their 2015 second-round pick, to a three-year, entry-level contract. Originally committed to Notre Dame, now that he has signed his entry-level deal, Fischer will be playing for Windsor Spitfires in the OHL during 2015-16. An excellent prospect, look for Fischer to put up solid numbers for the rebuilding Spitfires. Keith Duggan

June 2015 – The Coyotes take Fischer 32nd overall. The team is known to be patient with their prospects since mistakenly rushing Kyle Turris and Mikael Boedker. The power winger is likely four years away. Dobber

June 2015 –Fischer enters the 2015 draft as a bit of a sleeper. He’s a very smart attacking forward that teams will love to add to their lineup as soon as the second round opens. Fischer’s stride owns good mechanics and with increased strength, his power game should flourish. He combines outstanding positioning with a sneaky quick shooting arsenal and he’s capable of dazzling with some clever puck skills. Mark down Fischer as a true sleeper and a candidate to go much higher than he is ranked. Brendan Ross

Fantasy Outlook: B+

Coach’s player in that a bench boss will throw him out in all situations, Fischer is a big bodied forward with a great motor. Best suited for a second line to provide tough secondary minutes offensively.
