Observations:

October 2017 — Buchnevich opens the 2017/18 season in New York where you can expect him to be a mainstay throughout the year.  Coming out of camp Buchnevich has been skating in a top-six role and also seeing time on the first power play unit.  If Buchnevich can remain healthy through eighty games there is potential for a real breakout season for the talented young winger.  Geoff Kent

June 2017 — After a strong start to the season, Buchnevich battled through some injuries that limited his time with the Rangers to 41 regular season games. During this time, he showed flashes of his offensive prowess, producing at an overall 0.5 ppg (8G, 20A) rate, while skating about 13 minutes per night, including time on the second power-play unit. With the potential of some significant off-season moves in New York, the opportunity exists for Buchnevich to contribute at a greater level in 2017/18. November 2016 — After signing an entry level contract in the spring the talented forward stuck with the Rangers out of training camp.  While back spasm related issues have limited his action to ten of the Rangers first eighteen games he has performed very well when in the line up.  Pavel has hit the score sheet in six of ten games producing at a 0.8 PPG pace including a highlight reel 1G, 2A effort in a 5-3 loss to Vancouver.  The future looks bright for the offensively gifted forward. February 2016 – Since the move to SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL, Pavel has had some difficulty finding his way onto the scoreshee
