February 2017 – The 26-year old Finn is currently playing with the Linköping HC of the SHL. At this point of his career, it is highly unlikely that he will return from Europe. Niko Salminen
May 2015 – The Nashville Predators have signed Nakyva to a one-year entry-level contract. Nakyva is a smooth skating defenseman who has shown an ability to put up points. This past season with Lulea in the SHL, Nakyva potted 10 goals and 29 points in 55 games to finish fifth in league scoring amongst defenseman. Barring any more free agent signings, Nakyva will battle with Victor Bartley for the last spot on the backend. Donesh Mazloum
