Observations:

April 2016 -Cristiano DiGiacinto and the Windsor Spitfires saw their season come to an end on the first of the month. DiGiacinto, who came into the OHL undrafted, has cemented himself as a gritty two-way leader who will produce in the bottom-six. Serving as an assistant captain the past two seasons provided a confidence boost for the right winger. His point total went up by 17 in 2014-15 when he was named assistant captain. Although that may not be at a point per game pace, his energy and grit are what make him a useful player. He is a noticeable skater during the regular season ; however, his role was absent during the postseason this year for Windsor. He was not able to give Windsor the edge they need to get beyond the first round. The Spitfires were outscored 23-17 in their series with the Kitchener Rangers. There is also a large amount of work to be done with DiGiacinto’s stride and skating. Max Marko

Fantasy Outlook: D

DiGiacinto will have to work very hard in order to make it to the NHL. He will not bring point production and will most likely fill a bottom line grinder role.
