Observations:
January 2015 – Petrovic received his first call-up of the 2014-15 season late January. He responded in his first game by producing five hits along with one assist on the power play. He played limited minutes, seeing just over 11 minutes of ice time. Petrovic could receive a decent opportunity to show what he is capable of at the NHL level due to the Panthers placing Dylan Olsen on waivers. If he can stay in the lineup, he could be a solid depth fantasy asset with his multi-category statistics. – Lee Rayson
December 2014 – Petrovic has quietly put together a well rounded start to his AHL campaign this season with the Rampage. Through 20 games he has posted 12 points, 39 shots, and 39 PIM showing has the tools to be a multi-cat fantasy contributor. His 12 points puts him in a tie for the highest scoring defenseman on the Rampage. He has time to refine his game in the minors & further his development with the depth of the Florida blueline, but he could very well be called up if an injury or trade was to occur. Lee Rayson
December 2013 – Petrovic has shown excellent growth in his overall game while biding his time in the AHL, but has recently earned another recall. When he finally sticks, his offence has much more upside than has appeared in the AHL especially alongside the high talent forwards on the Panthers. Mixed in will be his enjoyment of extra-curricular activities. For a further boost, he may see some time on the powerplay as the ‘rocket launcher’. Petrovic possesses everything a franchise wants to see in a blueliner it is just a waiting game until he puts it together at a high level. For fantasy mangers he is an intense roto-style dream (similar mouthwatering feeling I have when I see a Swiss Chalet chicken in commercial
