Austin Madaisky, D

Shoots: R

Height: 6-1

Weight: 185

Born: 1992-01-30

Hometown: Surrey, BC, CAN

Drafted: 2010 by the Columbus Blue Jackets, 124th overall

June 2015 – Madaisky turned some heads in his second full year in the AHL. He put up 35 points in 53 games, leading all Falcon defensemen. The former fifth round pick’s game has matured quite a bit – exemplified by his decrease in PIMs from his junior days. He’s an offensive-minded defenseman who isn’t afraid to stick in his nose in the dirty areas. The Blue Jacket blue line is a little thin and now is as good a time as ever for Madaisky to show he belongs in the NHL. Chris Bagwell

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Madaisky has the potential to be a puck-moving, offensive defenseman in the NHL. This coming year will be huge for him.
