November 2013 – Button has appeared in all 12 games for the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) to begin the season. He currently rides a five game point streak dating back to Nov. 8 and has recorded nine points (one goal, eight assists) in the last eight games played. Button tallied two assists in the Steelheads 3-1 win over the San Francisco Bulls on Nov. 16, marking his second multiple point game of the season. Clayton Bailey

July 2013 – Ryan Button has been traded to the Dallas Stars as part of the Tyler Seguin-Loui Eriksson trade involving seven players. Brendan Ross

March 2012 – Button has all the tools to be an offensive-defenseman in the NHL with his strong skating, passing, stick handling, and shooting ability. He is very crafty in the opposition’s end but seems to be being developed in the Bruins’ organization in a defense-first mode. He isn’t the biggest guy so his strength needs improvement and opportunity seems short, so his numbers show it.

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Button has great offensive upside and skill set, but lacks strength and opportunity right now to display.
