Terry Broadhurst, LW

Shoots: L

Height: 6-0

Weight: 170

Born: 1988-11-30

Hometown: Orland Park, IL

Signed as undrafted free agent by Chicago,  March 2012

March 2015 – After putting up 16 goals and 28 assists for the Rockford Ice Hogs in 2013-14, Broadhurst was not offered a second contract by the Blackhawks. He was instead forced to settle for a one-year AHL deal with his hometown Chicago Wolves for the 2014-15 season.Through 51 games this year, he has just 23 points. Now a 26-year-old, the former UNO standout is running out of chances to make an impact at the NHL level. Look for him to sign another AHL deal for the 2015-16 season.Matt Donohue

June 2014 – Broadhurst teamed up on a line with younger brother Alex in 2013-14 to finish fourth on Rockford in scoring. As the IceHogs made a failed late season push for the playoffs, Broadhurst finished the season strong with five points in their final four games. The former undrafted free agent remains a long shot to contribute at the NHL level, but his presence has certainly aided the development of his brother, five years his junior. Expect to see Broadhurst back in Rockford in September. Matt Donohue

November 2013- Broadhurst has taken advantage of the increased ice time that he’s been seeing due to call-ups made by Chicago. He is currently third in points for Rockford with five goals and 13 points in 17 games this season. Broadhurst has improved steadily since turning pro last season and, while not a fantasy prospect yet, it’s too early to write him off. Rich Dillon

September 2013- Broadhurst was re-assigned to Rockford where he will log his first full season at the pro level. Last year he had 31 points in 36 games for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL and 13 points in 31 games for Rockford. He will join a loaded group of forward prospects so he will need to bring his “A” game to stand out. Rex Doty

June 2013- Following his recall to the IceHogs, Broadhurst had 13 points in 31 games. He will be looking for his first full season at the AHL level this fall. Rex Doty

January, 2013- Broadhurst has been recalled to Rockford in the AHL by the Blackhawks. He had 31 points in 36 games for Toledo in the ECHL this season. Rich Dillon

July, 2012 – Broadhurst signed a pro contract following his junior season at Nebraska-Omaha, where he served as team captain and was also the team’s leading scorer. He’s an honest player who gives his all at both ends of the ice. Broadhurst finished his collegiate career with 40 goals and 50 assists in 110 games with the Mavericks, including 36 points in 38 games last season. He reported to Rockford after signing and had two assists in eight games with the Ice Hogs. Broadhurst is from suburban Chicago, and his younger brother Alex was drafted by Chicago in 2011.

Fantasy Outlook: D+

Has some skill, but unlikely to ever have a top six role in the NHL.

Broadhurst sets up Mark McNeill on 10/22/13.
