March 2012 – Marvin played out a four-year NCAA career with St. Cloud St. in the WCHA. He is now in his first pro season who finds himself on loan with Milwaukee Admirals, but currently playing in the ECHL with the Chicago Express. Marvin has good size, shot, and offensive abilities plus he isn’t afraid to work the walls. He will need to learn the defensive side and control his physical play quickly as no ELC yet.

Fantasy Outlook: D

Physical centerman with size and strength for pro game yet will be groomed in the minors for sure.

Fantasy Prospects Report Notes (Any FPR’s released in the last 18 months will not be listed here):

2008 Fantasy Prospects Report:

The best-drafted prospect you’ve never heard of is probably Aaron Marvin. A Warroad High School product, Marvin lead the school in scoring in back-to-back years before going in the third round of the ’06 Draft – a banner year for the Flames overall. This past season at St. Cloud State, the 6’2 pivot enjoyed a tremendous freshman season, finishing 10th in team scoring despite being the youngest skater on the roster. Marvin’s high-end skating and puck protection ability tease of a player with incredible upside, but it’ll be a bit of a wait. Several years.

Upside: Poor man’s Vincent Lecavalier (30-50-80)

Certainty (NHLer; Upside): 55%; 45%
