Prospect Ramblings: Hedging My Bets in 2023 The 2022 draft already seems to be a minor success from the standpoint of my personal rankings. I messed up royally on guys like Jimmy Snuggerud, but hit on David Jiricek, Noah Ostlund, and most importantly Lane Hutson. The 2023 draft will be a real test, however. [...]
Welcome back to my weekly ramblings, where I will provide news and updates, highlight intriguing prospects, and generally track the development of junior players across the hockey world. For the last few years, I have privately assembled my own draft rankings. They are an amalgamation of a ton of footage, scouting reports, data tracking projects, [...]
Prospect Ramblings - The Next Generation of the Bleu Blanc Rouge It's no secret that I'm a big Habs fan. While I'm relatively new to the hockey world, only really becoming a fan when I was 16 watching the Canadiens go to the cup final, growing up in Montreal, it's hard not to have [...]
For those who aren’t familiar with pNHLe, it is a tool that attempts to estimate the peak production of a prospect in the NHL. This is based on many years of data and statistical similarities. It isn’t perfect, but it generally does a good job of identifying those who stand out both in a positive [...]
Prospect Ramblings: Self-Proclaimed President of the Lane Hutson Fan Club I love Lane Hutson. This is no secret to anybody who knows me personally, or to anybody who knows me online, or to anybody who’s been in my presence any time in the past year. Prospect Ramblings: 2023 Eligible Goalies, a Two-Way Race at the Top I'm no goalie scout. It's the thing that confuses me the most in this sport, as when looking at some of the most highly hyped netminders of the past, I can't figure out what went wrong with their development. It feels like [...]

Klingberg Acquisition Hurts Addison As Ian Gooding indicated in the Dobber Fantasy Take over at the main site, John Klingberg joining the Wild was likely to [...]
Prospect Ramblings: Generational Shots I’ve only been in the scouting ‘game’ for about 10 months. Because of that, I’ve only really seen two crops of draft-eligibles (while beefing up my knowledge of the 2020 and 2021 classes), but I can assuredly say that this 2023 class has some of the best shooters I’ve [...]
Prospect Ramblings: UDNDTP x 2023 – The Top-10 Trio This USNDTP class is as good as any barring 2019. There may be no future top-five center, or any possible 50-goal-scoring winger, but there is a very special trio of players. I’ve personally been low on this entire USNDTP class for most of the [...]
