Observations:
June 2017 – Estephan was not drafted in 2017.
May 2017 – The Buffalo Sabres have opted to not sign Giorgio Estephan to an entry-level contract and he will re-enter the draft in June. With his point production in the WHL, he should be a strong candidate to be a late-round selection. Max Marko
April 2017 – Giorgio Estephan is absolutley tearing it up in the 2017 WHL Playoffs. After being sidelined for two games with an eye injury, Estephan roared back 10 points in three games which earned him WHL Player of the Week honors. Add that onto his more recent games where he produced eight points in three games and he now leads the WHL in scoring for the playoffs with 17 points in nine games. Giorgio is almost guaranteed to get an ELC this summer so he can join the professional ranks next year. Max Marko
December 2017 – Offensive dynamo Giorgio Estephan is at it again with the Lethbridge Hurricanes this season. Already at 14 goals and 13 assists in 23 games, Estephan is on pace for another 70+ point season. He suffered an injury at the end of the season last year which held back his point production, so this is the year for Estephan to remain healthy and really help the Hurricanes roar into the playoffs. Estephan has impressed in all factors of the game during camp as well, so he could see the NHL sooner rather than later. Max Marko
April 2016 – Estephan has signed an ATO with the Rochester Americans, Estephan could get some good developmental minutes with the Amerks last six games of the season. This experience will help him when he returns to the Lethbridge Hurricanes next year. The Hurricanes were upset in the first round of the WHL playoffs, which is also a great lesson for the young pivot to develop into a better leader for his team.
April 2016 – Giorgio Estephan destroyed his career high numbers in all scoring categories this year in Lethbridge. Giorgio finished his third WHL campaign with 30 goals, 44 assists for 74 points in 59 games played (1.25 pts/gp). Paul Zwambag
Estephan will have to continue to develop his defensive game to become a more well-rounded centre at the NHL level. When he has confidence, he can make some pretty slick moves and create dangerous scoring chances .
