Observations:
February 2014 – Gardiner's 2013-14 season has been a disaster thus far. In his second year at Penn State he has a single point in 16 games. Now 21, his future as an NHL prospect is in doubt. Eric Daoust
June 2013 – In three years since being drafted, Max Gardiner’s development has been an adventure to say the least. In 2010-11 he was getting minimal ice time at the University of Michigan so he decided to leave school for Dubuque of the USHL where he had just 26 points in 50 games in 2011-12. He spent the 2012-13 campaign at Penn State University where he finally found his groove with three goals and 21 points in 23 games. Gardiner has two more years of college eligibility and will probably need a couple years at the AHL level before making the jump to St. Louis. The wait time makes him less than ideal in fantasy circles but his production at Penn State makes him worth watching. Eric Daoust
Has the tools to be a solid point producer in the NHL. Still a few years away.
