Observations:
October 2017 – Hodges was not made a qualifying offer by the Panthers and has become a free agent. Peter Harling
Dec 2015 – Hodges is nearing a return with the AHL Pirates, close to full recovery following off-season surgery and is expected back in early December. After splitting time between the ECHL and the AHL last season, Hodges is expected to be a mainstay with the AHL Pirates this season. He had mixed results last year, producing 15 points in 28 games playing in the ECHL, but only two points in 23 AHL games last season. – Lee Rayson
February 2014 – Still not quite fantasy relevant, Steven Hodges has posted 36 points in 40 WHL games since returning to action in November. He missed the beginning of the season due to leg surgery. He is a still a few years away from the NHL and even then isn't likely to be very fantasy relevant. Nathan Kanter
March 2013 – Hodges finished off the WHL regular season strong with 10 points in his final 7 games, bringing his season totals to a respectable 51 points in 60 games. His regular season stat line once again proves his versatility as a two-way centerman as he posted 13 powerplay points, 5 shorthanded points, and 67 PIM for the Royals, who struggled down the stretch and now will face a tough Kamloops team in round 1 of the WHL playoffs. Nathan Kanter
February 2013 – Hodges has had a slight increase in his numbers. In 44 games he has 23 goals and 37 points. Expect him to spend another year in the WHL developing his offensive prowess and building strength before he makes the jump to the professional game. Zenon Herasymiuk
August 2012 – Hodges was taken in the third round by the Panthers after putting up 46 points in 72 games for the Victoria Royals. He is a two-way threat with good speed. Hodges can play both the power play and the penalty kill and is sure to produce solid numbers as he matures in the WHL. Look for him to be a major leader of the Royals next year as he takes the next step in his career. Expect him to be more of a long term project for the Panthers. Zenon Herasymiuk
Fantasy Outlook: C-
A solid two-way fantasy option that will take the long road to the big leagues.
