Welcome to the Thursday prospect ramblings where I answer questions asked to me last week. The last time I attempted this I had zero responses and like ~250 followers. Now I have jumped up to! …. TWO responses with 382 followers. It increased by an astounding 200%. This is the single biggest increase in Dobberprospects history. I have had the current and past associate editors of DP all congratulate this massive milestone from myself.

Well let me get in to them!

{source} <blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>I was just wondering who the Brady Tkachuk’s of this draft are? High-shot volume, high hit 2020’s.</p>&mdash; FamSSJR (@famssjr) <a href=”https://twitter.com/famssjr/status/1244644236244418563?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>March 30, 2020</a></blockquote>{/source}

I really have to think about this one because on one hand B. Tkachuk is kind of on another planet with hits and shots (who knows how much of those hits are home favoritism though) and was gunning for being the first player to go 300+ and 300+ in a season (I believe). So, I will just focus it on a player (or players) who will potentially hit as much as they shoot.

Lafreniere is going to be the best at it in the top 15 likely, as a lot of the forwards are shooters and more on the skill-first side. In looking over the prospects I have looked over no one really stands out as ones that can put up big numbers for that, and perhaps I am completely missing or have lost the player in my mind. My best two guesses for the other players:

Dylan Holloway

Luke Tuch

I am going to pull this one out too and answer it:

{source} <blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>What don’t I get about the Jake Sanderson love?</p>&mdash; Ryan McNutt (@Mawesome21) <a href=”https://twitter.com/Mawesome21/status/1244689179579121667?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>March 30, 2020</a></blockquote>{/source}

This was related to my discussion on the recent Craig Button rankings but I will answer it:

I believe people see the potential upside more than what is there. He is a great skater with great puck skills, but his shots are lacking and his defensive play and be lacking. Those are areas that can be improved over time and when you have a skater and puck-handler like him you snatch him up as an NHL team. As a fantasy GM, I would let him slide int eh draft and maybe grab him late in round one.

And that was all the questions I got……………

Well I will show you all how on fire my minimal tweets this week were!

Yeah I am still hurt about the crap seasons 7 and how it somehow got even worse in 8

Now here is just some random thought:

I believe I read a tweet last week that was critical of my “Tim Stutzle at seventh” mock pick. So why did I do that, well to me picks #3 to #8 are entirely interchangeable, so #7 could easily go #3. To add on to that my picks #9 to #11 could easily jump in to the NHL top 3-8 if a team really loves them. Heck I could even see one of Dawson Mercer, Connor Zary, Rodion Amirov, and Jan Mysak sneaking in to the top 12. Mysak is highly unlikely as according to a lot of sports news people in the know he is low on lists, likely because a lot of teams’ scouts asked to input do not travel much overseas would be my guess. Here are my ramblings from last week:

I do not have anything extra to add because I just thought of a great idea. Yet you all will have to wait until next week to read what my idea is! Also, I hope no other writers steal it without knowing.
