Shoots: R |
Height: 6-6 |
Weight: 188 |
Born: 1992-08-08 |
Hometown: Kelowna, BC, Canada |
Drafted: 2010 by St. Louis, 134th overall |
Observations:
October 2014 – Beach impressed at camp this year but was ultimately assigned to Chicago of the AHL. He could earn a full-time promotion in the next year or two if he can continue to develop his overall game. Eric Daoust
June 2014 – Beach's second pro season showed a small improvement as he suited in 34 games with Chicago of the AHL and contributed 11 points along with 109 PIM. Outside of multi-category leagues he has no value but could be an asset if he can secure a fourth-line role in St. Louis in the next year or two. Eric Daoust
May 2013 – Beach's first pro season went about as expected. He played 24 games with Evansville of the ECHL and had nine points along with 81 PIM. He added seven points in 23 contests along with 71 PIM for the AHL's Peoria Rivermen. While it will take a few years for his offensive game to arrive, he has shown that he has more scoring ability than a talent-less goon. In a few years he should be a decent bottom-six physical winger who is an asset in hits and PIM.Eric Daoust
March 2012 – Beach is a big, agitating forward that relishes the role of being a pest. He also has a huge frame, and has showed that he can produce when put in the right situation. Through 50 games this year he has 12 goals, 35 assists, for 47 points, a career high. He also has a career high 206 penalty minutes and has been suspended a few times this year. If Beach can fill out his huge body and learn to stay out of the box, he could become an effective role player in the NHL.
Fantasy Outlook: D+
Role player that will never produce huge offensive numbers at the NHL level, but may be a PIM asset.
