Observations:

February 2015- It's been a tough season for Brandon McMillan, who has really hustled but has basically contributed zero offense, one goal and two assists along with being a minus -18 for Arizona. After the Coyotes claimed center Mark Arcobello off waivers and deciding to give some of their young players a shot in a losing season, McMillan was placed on waivers himself, most likely to be sent down to Portland of the AHL. But the B.C. native was claimed by the Vancouver Canucks. He's a good depth forward but doesn't offer much fantasy appeal. Keith Duggan

August 2014- McMillian played well with the Coyotes, remaining with them throughout the rest of the season after his recall in February. Offensively he didn't do much, two goals and six points in 22 games, but thats not his role. McMillain's more of a defensive, shutdown forward and he filled that role admirably. The Coyotes re-signed him this offseason to a one-year, two-way contract, and he's expected to push for a bottom six spot with the team this fall. February 2014 – With eight points in his last nine games along with 35 PIMS for Portland of the AHL, McMillian has been rewarded for his strong February with a recall to the Coyotes. It’s his first recall to Phoenix since being acquired from the Ducks in a trade last season. Even with his strong offensive play this past month, McMillian is more of a defensive forward and if he does get into the Coyotes lineup will probably play a bottom six role and won’t contribute much fantasy wise. April 2013 – McMillan has been dealt to Phoenix, a place he can hopefully refocus his career and get another strong opportunity. He may spend more time on the wing than up the middle, but that will be seen in the next few days. He should have some jump, but not really worth taking a shot at. Jason Banks

March 2013 – Becoming a feistier player and is focusing more on the defensive side of his game, as his AHL production decline indicates. Recalled by the Ducks in early March to get in some action on a checking line, which is where his NHL future lies. Dobber

February 2012 – McMillan plays a very aggressive and speedy style of play. Played four progressive seasons in the WHL for the Kelowna Rockets and actually suited up 60 games last season for Anaheim. Again this year he played in the show but was demoted back to the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch in December. He is a strong skater and forechecker with a strong overall game that will look to get back into NHL soon. Brendan Ross

Fantasy Outlook: D+

McMillan is known for his solid all-around game and speed, not so much for his offensive ability.
