Smooth-skating left-handed defenseman with some decent small-area skills and rush defending. Needs to improve his puck skills, but had a great season production-wise in the MHL and could develop into a bottom-four NHL defenseman.
Ilya Safonov
A smart defense-first type player and an excellent penalty killer with a big frame that sees the ice well. He makes good decisions with and without the puck and tends to be in the right place at the right time; there is potential for more of a two-way player within the right situation.
Daniil Pylenkov
A physical defenseman who is solid on his end, a good puck mover, and has some offensive upside. He must move to North America from the KHL to get on the fantasy radar.
Nikita Yevseyev
A legitimate NHL prospect, with the unknown of coming to North America from Russia. An excellent skating defenseman with good mobility and agility who is not afraid to be physical.
Kirill Tankov
A center that can make things happen all over the ice with the size and skill to make an impact offensively. Whether he plays in North America is unknown.
Nikolai Makarov
Large defenseman who plays a well-rounded game. Can move well on his feet and make smart plays on transition. Not biggest offensive producer, but uses his size to his advantage defensively, using his body and long stick to break up plays.
Vasily Ponomarev
A versatile forward with an eye for play creation. Loves to get in on the forecheck.
