A physical, hard-forechecking scoring winger with a good set of hands and an effective shot needs consistency in his overall game. Still, with proper development, he can become a middle-six forward.
Ryan Leonard
Hardworking, two-way forward with a heavy shot and good instincts around the net. Plays with physicality and energy, projecting as an impactful top-six NHLer.
Carson Wetsch
A solid offensive winger with a high compete level. Needs to work on his two-way game—projects as a bottom-six forward.
Hiroki Gojsic
A powerful winger with a strong shot and sound defensive awareness. Needs to develop offensively.
Jacob Battaglia
A versatile winger with both playmaking and scoring abilities who has the potential to become a middle-six NHL player.
Adam Klapka
A big, physical winger who plays a strong, powerful game. Does not offer much offensively. Has some value in the deeper league, which values hits and PIMs.
Tuomas Uronen
A strong, power winger who drives pucks to the net, protects the puck well, and has a quick and hard release.
Nikita Grebyonkin
Playmaking winger with great vision and puck skills to complement a projectable frame. Will have to improve his stride and defensive game but has potential as a long-term project.
William Dufour
A power forward reminiscent of Cal Clutterbuck, Dufour fits the Islanders’ hit-anything mentality. His willingness to help defensively qualifies him for the bottom six, although a knack for scoring could lift him higher.
