Loke Krantz

July 2026 – Krantz skated at two levels in 2025 2026, seeing 18 games in Sweden’s U20 Nationell where he scored 12 goals and added eight assists, as well as a 30 game, one goal and assist stint in the SHL.

Krantz turned 19 near the end of the season, and his disparate performance at the two separate levels is no surprise. Using the size advantage he would wield over the majority of players in the U20, he again lit the lamp with regularity- his twelve goals placed him 66th in the league, but those ahead of him by that measure predominantly played double or triple the games that Krantz did.

For fantasy managers who have stashed him and are hoping to see his development bring him towards a meaningful NHL role in due time, we will have to remain patient. He put up roughly three and a half shots per game in the U20 and showed a developing power game with just under three hits per game as well. Though his deployment time and role were obviously lesser in the SHL, seeing his shots fall to roughly one per game, he still managed to throw the body at least twice a game.

Krantz will need to work on honing his main skill- his heavy shot and goal scoring prowess- while developing a secondary weapon- clearly a physical edge more than a playmaking ability- in order to boost his stocks among European prospects.

All in all, the year was to be expected for Krantz’s development, and it continues on a positive trend. This coming season in the SHL will be an important one for him to show if he has difference maker potential against tougher competition in the pro circuit. Alex Wyatt

August 2025 – If there’s one thing that Loke Krantz likes to do when he is on the ice, it is put pucks past the opposing goalie. Playing at three levels in Sweden in 2024-2025, he put up 22 goals and only 11 assists in 56 combined games. Looking back at his performances in previous seasons, and one will notice that ‘Cy Young’ type of pattern. Krantz is a big body, standing 6-2 and weighing in at 192lbs, and as such he has likely enjoyed a size advantage against his U18 peers, and we will see if he can keep up the pace as he moves up to the U20 ranks in the fall. Krantz is a long way out from fantasy relevance, but he’s a great swing by the Kraken in the 7th round, and a fun prospect to stash in a deep enough league where you can spare the roster spot.
