DeSmith’s career path brightened to begin the 2018-19 season and his stalwart play was rewarded with a three-year extension. He's looking more like a solid NHL backup.
Artyom Zagidulin
Agile butterfly goaltender with NHL potential.
Matiss Kivlenieks
Dominant in prior levels and still very young, has time to develop in the AHL and potential to backup in the pros.
Niclas Westerholm
A big goalie who was signed as a free agent. A late bloomer.
Mat Robson
While on the NHL roster at the moment, it is purely to burn a year of his entry level deal. With the potential of becoming a starter in the NHL down the line, he will likely need development with Iowa for at least next season.
Jake Kupsky
Lanky goaltender with an NHL sized frame. Shows stretches of encouraging play but has yet to show he can perform consistently as a starter.
Filip Lindberg
After a surprisingly good freshman season at UMass, Lindberg will likely play in the NCAA for a couple more seasons. His fantasy potential is likely that of a long term project that will be a few years from relevancy.
