Observations
September 2025 – An undrafted, 22-year-old forward who was a Third Team All-ECAC and First Team All-Ivy selection, Kopff played in 32 games with Brown University in 2024-25. He produced 28 points (nine goals and 19 assists), ranking second on the team in scoring. He also ranked second in the NCAA among forwards in average ice time per game, with 23:31.
Kopff joined the Rochester Americans at the end of the 2024-25 season and played in six games, recording one assist. He is expected to play for the Americans during the 2025-26 season. Kopff has no fantasy value, does not need to be rostered in any league and will need to establish himself at the pro level in the AHL before being considered for an NHL roster spot. Mark Henry
March 2025 – The Buffalo Sabres signed Kopff to a two-year, entry-level contract beginning with the 2025-26 season. He will be on a tryout contract with the Rochester Americans in the AHL for the rest of the 2024-25 campaign. Mark Henry
