Stevie Leskovar

September 2025 – Leskovar will graduate to the Iowa Wild of the AHL for the upcoming season, having completed his OHL career with 160 games played, scoring four times and adding 17 assists and 243 penalty minutes. He will bring his hardnosed defensive style to the professional ranks, and work to prove he has what it takes to fill a bottom pair role at the NHL level. At 6-3 and 216 pounds, he has the NHL size, and  he will need to hone his reads and stopping skill against larger, more mature players as his size advantage he benefitted from in the OHL will dissipate in the AHL.

Leskovar is worth watchlisting in leagues with peripheral categories like hits, blocks and penalty minutes, but as his OHL numbers allude, he will not be an offensive contributor. Keep an eye on his progress in the AHL to get a read on his NHL proximity and likelihood- he will be a year or two of a wait at least. Alex Wyatt
