Observations
September 2026 – Laberge set a QMJHL career high with 56 points (seven goals, 49 assists) in his final junior season with the Newfoundland Regiment, ranking fourth among all QMJHL defensemen in assists. He added 13 points in 12 playoff games. The 6-1, 187-pound left-shot blueliner is committed to Northeastern for 2026-27. The QMJHL offensive numbers are encouraging for a late-round pick and he is a player to monitor in the NCAA next season. Andrew Epps
August 2025 – Buffalo’s third defenseman taken in this draft, Laberge is a very cerebral defenseman. He breaks plays up in the defensive zone with his stick and smart positioning. While he didn’t put up crazy numbers, he shows potential on the offensive end of the ice as well. With 12 goals and 23 assists he’s an excellent passer, who will jump into the play when needed.
