February 2024 – Finally getting some extended time in net with Lausitzer Fuchse in the DEL2, Nikita Quapp is putting together a solid season for a not so great team. In 23 games this season, Quapp has posted a 2.73 Goals Against Average and a .917% save percentage, which says something since his record is 10-12-0. This is Quapp’s first year ever in his career getting more than a total of 16 games and he’s making some solid progress. His contract runs out at the end of the season and if the Carolina Hurricanes can figure out their AHL situation, I wonder if Quapp could potentially make the move to North America. Nick Bass
