December 2019 – Phillips is getting his first taste of professional hockey this season
after signing a three-year entry-level deal with the Kings. He has played a significant
role as a minute eating top pair defenceman while splitting time with the Guelph and
Owen Sound in the OHL last season. He has only appeared in one game for the Reign
this season because of the depth on the blue line and has seen time with the Kings
