Luke Haymes

September 2026 – Haymes turned in a productive first full pro season, posting 33 points in 66 AHL games with the Marlies and playing an important role in their Calder Cup run. His four NHL appearances were quiet – one assist – but confirm he is at least on the organizational radar. A well-rounded two-way centerman without a particularly glaring weakness, he did not emerge as a player capable of dominating at the AHL level, and the ceiling is limited. With new management in place in Toronto, he will need a strong 2026-27 campaign to earn a future deal. A depth watch in dynasty only.

September 2025 – Haymes signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 24, 2025. His deal will begin in the 2025-26 season. He’ll spend the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on an amateur tryout. During the 2024-25 season, which ended early due to an injury with Dartmouth College in the NCAA, he played 22 games and scored 12 goals, adding six assists.

He projects as a top six player at the AHL level, and middle six player if he can make the NHL. His goal scoring prowess in the NCAA gives some hope that he has a tool that can be developed to be meaningful in the pro levels. Mark Henry
