Observations
June 2026 – The Red Wings allowed Miller’s rights to lapse, meaning he will re-enter the NHL draft this month. – Alex Wyatt
August 2025 – Following his draft by the Red Wings, Miller returned to the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for the 2024-25 season. He took on a significant workload as the starting goaltender, but his numbers regressed across the board with the increased starts on a rebuilding team. He will return to the OHL for the coming season before assessing his options moving forward. If he can show some of the promise that led the Red Wings to draft him, he could pursue the college route to continue his development and have an outside shot to play in the AHL, and perhaps the NHL. He is nothing more than a lottery ticket goalie prospect in the deepest of fantasy leagues. Jeff Grybel
