November 2020 – The son of former NHLer Adrian Aucoin, Kyle Aucoin was chosen by the Detroit Red Wings in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL draft. He spent his draft year playing for the Tri-City Storm of the USHL and picked up 13 points in 48 games as one of the younger players in his draft class. Aucoin has good hockey sense and makes the right play more often than not, but there isn’t a lot of flash in his game. He was not blessed with his father’s size and he will need to bulk up in the coming years. Aucoin should see a larger role with Tri-City this coming season as he prepares for a move to Harvard in 2021-2022. Nick Richard
