June 2025- Maata completed his NCAA career with 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 points in 129 games. His 2024-2025 effort of nine goals and 18 assists in 35 games marked his best season at the collegiate level, however as of yet it was not enough for the former seventh-rounder to earn his first contract with Edmonton. It appears Maata is set to skate with TPS of the Liiga next year where the physical forward will continue his development playing against men in a professional setting. It remains to be seen if the Oilers see him as a physical bottom-six player they will bring into the NHL fold. Alex Wyatt
