Harrison Scott

September 2026 – Harrison Scott completed his first full professional season with the Texas Stars, playing all 72 regular-season games and finishing with 18 goals, 14 assists, and 32 points. His 122 shots on goal ranked fifth on the team, and he added a goal in 19 Calder Cup Playoff games. Dallas rewarded him with a two-year contract extension through 2027-28. Those are steady numbers for an undrafted college free agent in his first full AHL campaign.

Scott plays a direct, north-south game. He gets to the net, puts pucks there, and does not waste time trying to make plays that are not available. His shot volume is his best offensive tool, and he converts at a functional rate from the low slot and off net-front scrambles. The former University of Maine captain brings responsible habits in his own end and kills penalties, which is why the coaching staff trusted him with consistent minutes all season.

The ceiling here is modest. Scott turned 25 in September, and his skating, while honest, does not threaten at the NHL level. He will not beat pro defensemen wide or generate chances through speed. Dallas signed him and extended him because he fills a role the organization needs in Cedar Park, a dependable AHL forward who contributes without needing to be managed. He earned a brief NHL roster appearance for cap compliance purposes in October but was immediately reassigned. He does not carry fantasy value in standard formats. In the deepest dynasty leagues with AHL rosters, he is an asset for shot volume and minor goal production, but nothing more. Andrew Epps

September 2025 – Harrison Scott enjoyed being an over-ager in the NCAA in 2024-2025, posting the best offensive season of his collegiate career. In 38 games, he scored 18 goals and added 17 assists. The undrafted winger then signed a show-me contract with the Dallas Stars and joined the Texas Stars toward the end of the AHL season. In six games with them, he provided no offense as he acclimated to the professional game.

Scott shouldn’t be too high on most fantasy radars, as despite him eventually increasing his offense in the NCAA, he did so as he became older and more experienced than most of his competition. He could carve out a career in the AHL and see some NHL ice time as a call up if things break well in his development, but at present is a long shot to be fantasy relevant. Watchlist him if he starts the year hot in the AHL, and we can adjust our assessments of his long term value as he develops in the AHL. Alex Wyatt

March 2025 –  The Dallas Stars signed Scott to a one-year, entry-level contract that will begin in 2025-26. He will play for the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. Mark Henry
