August 2025 – An undrafted free agent, Carfagna impressed at the NCAA level this past year. With Ohio State, Carfagna was productive from the blue line, scoring 28 points in 38 games as a junior. While he scored at a fair rate, Carfagna’s game is more built around his defense than his offense. Despite his size, Carfagna could shock fans as a sneaky future NHLer as his skating is quite impressive, and he could use it to become one of Edmonton’s depth defenseman after his entry-level contract expires. James Connelly
