February 2020 – Dahlstrom suffered a broken bone in his hand during a Jan. 14 game with the Canucks and hasn’t seen the ice since. Head coach Paul Maurice told the media he would be out at least six weeks with the injury. Dahlstrom was struggling to find any consistent playing time before this and will now have to grind his way back into the lineup when healthy. Jamie Zadow February 2019 – Dahlstrom has fit in nicely since being recalled from Rockford of the AHL. His game has rounded out, he even chips in with a little offence from time to time. Make no mistake though, Dahlstrom is in the NHL to play defence and he had been doing that very well. If he can stay healthy he should be a mainstay on this defensive core for years to come. Tony Carr   December 2018 – Dahlstrom was recalled from Rockford in time to suit up against the Pittsburgh Penguins where he played big minutes and contributed to all aspects of the game. With the state of the Hawks defence, it’s surprising it took this long to see him in a Hawks uniform, but the opportunity is directly in front of him now and it will be up to him seize it.
