Alexander Plesovskikh

May 2026 — Plesovskikh spent most of 2025-26 dominating Russian junior hockey, scoring 26 goals and  totaling 49 points in 50 games for Spartak’s junior team, while earning a senior look late in the year. He made his KHL debut Feb. 26 against Admiral Vladivostok and played three games with no points in minimal ice time. He then signed an extension with Spartak through 2027-28, which sets his development timeline firmly in Russia. He is a project winger with a scorer’s instincts who finds soft ice and shoots with intent. The concerns are the ones that show up against men. His shooting and skating are flagged as areas needing work, and the jump from junior scoring to pro production is the hardest one Russian wingers make. For fantasy, this is a watch-and-wait name. Toronto’s rights do not expire, the realistic NHL window is 2028-29 at the earliest, and the ceiling reads as a bottom-six forward. The next step is carving out a regular KHL role in 2026-27 rather than bouncing between the MHL and the VHL. Andrew Epps
