June 2025- Wilsby saw time at both the AHL and NHL level last season, and despite playing 23 games in the NHL and 13 in the AHL, had the exact same scoring line in each league. He provided a goal and four assists at both levels, and played mostly a defensive role. He didn’t see any powerplay time in the NHL, but did get a third of the available penalty kill minutes. In the small sample size of 23 games, he skated 18 minutes a night, and put a shot and a half on goal, and laid just under a hit and block per game. He’s worth a stash in leagues where flexing minors players from your farm onto your roster to maximize games played is a valid strategy, but he hasn’t shown an ability to impact the scoresheet enough to invest heavily yet. June 2022 – Wilsby has officially signed his entry-level contract with the Predators: a two-year deal running through the 2023-24 season. The offensive defensemen comes over from the SHL after scoring 36 points in 109 games. Considering he will already have established left-handed defensemen in front of him with David Farrance and Marc Del Gaizo, it’s hard to tell how big of a role he will play in Milwaukee next season. If he can force his way into the lineup, he has the ability to quarterback the PP2. Wilsby’s transition and passing skills stand out heavily. Curtis Rines
October 2020 – In the fourth round of the entry draft, the Predators selected offensive Swedish defender Adam Wilsby. The overager is coming off an impressive statistical season that saw him post 30 points in 41 games for Sodertalje in the Swe-1 pro league. Wilsby transitions the puck up ice very well with his feet and his outlook passing. His shot boasts more accuracy than power and he walks the offensive blueline well for better angles. His offensive contributions are noticeable, but so too are his inefficiencies defensively. Wilsby will need to continue developing his defensive positioning in order for him to take the next step.
