Fantasy Summary

A quick, athletic goaltender who reads play with ease. Plays a calm, clean, technical game with aggressive positioning and good footwork, making up for the lack of size. A long-term project that competes hard and thrives under pressure.

Observations

March 2026 – Milic has re-established himself as a legitimate AHL starter this season, posting a 2.40 GAA and .913 save percentage through 28 games with Manitoba. It has been a meaningful bounce-back after a difficult 2024-25 campaign that saw him spend time in the ECHL. Sharing the crease with Domenic DiVincentiis in what has become a true goaltending tandem, Milic holds the edge on both draft pedigree and current performance. With Connor Hellebuyck locked in long-term and Eric Comrie as backup, there is no urgency from Winnipeg’s perspective, but a second strong AHL season would keep him on track toward a potential backup role down the line. Add him speculatively in dynasty formats as he may be next up in the depth chart if either of Winnipeg’s goaltenders goes down to injury. Ryan Downey

August 2025 – The Winnipeg Jets will look for Milic to re-establish himself in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose during the 2025-26 season. Last season, the 22-year-old Milic split his season between the AHL and ECHL. But only saw positive results in the ECHL with the Norfolk Admirals, although the team in front of him in the AHL did not do him any favours. Milic and fellow Jets goaltending prospect Domenic DiVincentiis are expected to tandem in net for Manitoba to open the 2025-26 season, with Isaac Coulter and Alex Worthington tending twine in the ECHL.

Milic is well off the fantasy radar in all leagues, including dynasty. With Connor Hellebuyck under contract with the Jets for the long term and veteran Eric Comrie as the backup, there is no need for the Jets organization to panic or rush Milic’s development. A successful season would be staying at the AHL level for the entire season and taking the starter’s role for the Moose. Mark Henry

April 2025 – Milic was named Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for March. He went 7-2-2 with one shutout, a 1.70 GAA, and an SV% of .937 in 11 appearances during the month.

Milic has thrived in the ECHL after failing to build off his success in the AHL late in the 2023-24 season; while it is a step-down, at least he’s getting playing time to work on his game. Milic and Domenic DiVincentiis will compete for starts at the AHL and ECHL levels for the foreseeable future and are both far off the fantasy radar in Winnipeg. Mark Henry

March 2025 –  Milic was named Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for February 24-March 2. He went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.50 GAA, and an SV% of .981 in two appearances at Trois-Rivières. It is the second time he has received the weekly honor in his career. Mark Henry

January 2025 – The Winnipeg Jets reassigned Milic from the Manitoba Moose to the Norfolk Admirals. Milic has had a disappointing 2024-25 season thus far. In 17 games with the Moose, he had a record of 4-10-2 with a 3.56 GAA and a .870 SV%. Failing to build off a successful 2023-24 season, Milic will be allowed to find his game in the ECHL. Mark Henry

September 2024 – Milic attended the Winnipeg Jets 2024 Development Camp on July 3-7, 2024. He will participate in the 2024 Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C, September 13-16, 2024. After an impressive first season with the Winnipeg Jets franchise, Milic can become a full-time AHL player with the Manitoba Moose during the 2024-25 campaign. Mark Henry

May 2024 – The Winnipeg Jets announced on May 4, 2024, that they have agreed to terms with Milic on a three-year, entry-level contract with an AAV of $841,700 that begins in 2024-25. Milic played 33 games for the AHL’s Manitoba Moose during the 2023-24 season and posted a 19-9-2 record with one shutout, a 2.72 GAA, and .900 SV%. Milic made his professional debut in 2023-24 with the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals, where he went 11-3-2 with two shutouts, a 2.45 GAA, and .908 SV%. Mark Henry

March 2024 – On March 18, Milic was named AHL Player of the Week for the Sunday, March 17 period. He had a 3-0-0 record for the week, 1.30 GAA, and a .953 SV%, allowing four goals on 85 shots, including his first career AHL shutout. Mark Henry

March 2024 – The Manitoba Moose recalled Milic from the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals on January 22. Since then, Milic has helped the Moose get back into AHL Calder Cup playoff contention; in 14 starts, he has a record of 9-4-1; on March 13, he recorded his first career AHL shutout in a 6-0 win over the Milwaukee Admirals. Milic has a 10-5-1 with the Moose during the 2023-24 season with a 2.66 GAA and .905 SV%. Mark Henry

January 2024 – Milic took part in the 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic on January 15 after being named an ECHL All-Star on January 3, as part of the ECHL All-Stars that defeated the Savannah Ghost Pirates 18-11 at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. Mark Henry

December 2023 – Milic has been named to Canada’s 2023 Spengler Cup roster, which takes place December 26-31, 2023, in Davos, Switzerland. During the 2023-24 season, Milic has a 9-2-1 record, a 2.44 GAA, and a .910 SV% with the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals. While serving as a call-up to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, he has posted a 1-1-0 record with a 3.74 GAA and a .877 SV%. Mark Henry

November 2023 – Milic was called up to the Manitoba Moose on November 12 and made his American Hockey League debut that same day in relief of Oskari Salminen after the Moose gave up four goals to the Laval Rocket. He entered the game early in the second period and faced 22 shots. He made 20 saves, with the two goals he allowed coming on the power play. With veteran goaltender Collin Delia listed as day-to-day, Milic made his first AHL career start on November 13 against the Rocket in a 5-2 loss. He allowed five goals on 31 shots. Mark Henry

November 2023 – Milic was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week for October 23-29; the Norfolk Admirals goaltender went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.00 GAA, and .959 SV% in two appearances. Overall, he is 3-0-1 in four appearances with the Admirals this season with a 1.46 GAA and .937 SV%. Mark Henry

October 2023 – Milic was sent down to the Winnipeg Jets ECHL affiliate Norfolk Admirals on October 10, thus giving him a significant opportunity to play big minutes in his first pro season. Mark Henry

October 2023 – Milic signed a one-year AHL contract through the 2023-24 season with the Manitoba Moose on October 6, 2023. A fifth-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets, 151st overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft after being passed over in two straight drafts, Milic has a history of proving doubters wrong; look for this trend to continue throughout his professional career. Mark Henry

June 2023 – After a strong run with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Milic’s season unfortunately came to a disappointing end in the Memorial Cup. Milic was a major reason for Seattle’s success, being a rock-solid, reliable goalie for them and a reliable goalie for Canada at the U20 World Juniors. Milic will look professionally, as he fights for a spot on the Manitoba Moose in the coming season. Seth Ditchfield
