Prospect Ramblings: Looking back on CHL Predictions
Last August I wrote a piece for DobberHockey’s The Journey discussing my predictions for the CHL season to be. With only a handful of weeks remaining in the regular season campaign, we’ve all [...]
WHL Report – February 2020 (feat. Seth Jarvis)
Hello my friends, hello. At the beginning of the season, many draft experts claimed that the WHL wasn't quite the hot bed that last year was. It is tough to follow a year which [...]
Prospect Ramblings: Veteran signings bumping prospects
*** I had planned to write about UFA Will Butcher's fit with whatever team he decides on, but it seems his life-changing decision schedule doesn't match up with my rambling schedule. But this weekend has provided me with some unanticipated UFA signings that are going to hurt people with prospects [...]
August 31-in-31: Toronto Maple Leafs
Last year the Leafs had a massive influx of rookie talent that had a profound positive impact on the roster, but at the same time depleted the reserves significantly as well. That being said the cupboards are far from empty and the Leafs Management team has done an admirable job [...]
Prospect Ramblings: College UFAs come to those who wait
Hobey Baker Award recipient Will Butcher will announce Sunday which NHL organization will get his professional services. If baseball people think the dog days are in August, they should think again. Tuesday February 24th – Zach Hopkins
Prospects that could be in a Kessel trade, the best defensive prospect in hockey, and more from a new rambler...

Philadelphia Flyers fans are starting to get excited again as the team marches closer to a playoff berth. As of this morning, they sit four points behind the Boston Bruins for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. Flyers diehards have another reason to be excited as top defensive prospect Shayne Gostisbehere has resumed skating and is targeting a March return for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The speedy blueliner tore his ACL back in the fall. Sam Morin, another Flyers defensive prospect, was suspended two games by the QMJHL after a check from behind in a blowout game against Saint John’s. Morin is projecting to possibly break camp with the big club next season and will need to be more disciplined in a city whose hockey franchise has affectionately been tabbed the Broad Street Bullies.
