June 2025 – The Edmonton Oilers’ sixth-round pick (190th overall) in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Nikita Yevseyev is unsigned by the Oilers and split the 2024-25 season between the KHL and VHL. Playing the majority of his games with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL (38 games). Yevseyev has all the tools to be an NHL player; it is just a question of whether he will come to North America and leave Russia. Overall awareness and positioning are his strengths, and he shows signs of being a puck-moving defenseman with an underrated shot; his offensive game is a work in progress. Mark Henry
