Fantasy Summary
Diminutive but quick and athletic Russian goalie. His quickness and agility makes up for his short stature, and early results in the KHL look fantastic. Time will tell if he makes the jump to North America.

July 2024 – Ivanov is a Russian goaltender that was taken by the Blue Jackets in the 5th round in 2022. His biggest question marks were size and nationality, as he is Russian and stands at just 5-11. However, he is very athletic and quick along the ice to cover the ground he can’t physically. His stats have been growing more and more impressive since being drafted, and he had a big coming out this year. In the KHL with Admiral Vladivostok (the worst team in the league), he had fantastic numbers of 0.928 SV% and 2.63 GAA. Ivanov seems to have the skill to make up for his physical downsides, but genuine question marks still remain on whether or not he will make the jump to North America. In a pretty bare Columbus Blue Jackets goalie prospect cupboard, if he does make it over, Ivanov would be a big boon for the up and coming team. Josh Rosa
